The Carol Fagan Memorial Scholarship was established to honor and continue Carol Fagan’s endless pursuit to improve life for those affected by mental illness. This grant aims to help those with a mental health diagnosis access the resources and develop the skills necessary to reach their full potential.

The Carol Fagan Memorial Scholarship is available to AISD high school seniors who have an identified mental health diagnosis of one or more of the following: Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, and/or Schizoaffective Disorder, and are pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited university. Candidates for this award should be committed to completing a college degree, understand how living with a mental health diagnosis affects one’s life, and will advocate and serve as a role model for others who are living with a mental health diagnosis.

Each candidate must submit all of the following:

  • A completed application (click to download)
  • A copy of their college acceptance letter (proof of commitment, which may be submitted after May 1st or when received)
